11:00 –12:30	WORKSHOPS: HOW SHOULD THE POST-2012 NEGOTIATIONS BE STRUCTURED?
	Yvo De Boer, the Chair of the UNFCCC, would like three outcomes from Bali: i) agreement to launch inclusive negotiations on a comprehensive post-2012 framework ii) agreement on the structure of those negotiations, including the key elements to be negotiated; and iii) agreement on a timetable for concluding those negotiations The communiqué will include a strong call for negotiations to begin in Bali, with a view to completing them by 2009. We would like the workshops to respond to Yvo’s second request and develop thinking about how this group can best make a positive contribution to the negotiations between 2007 and 2009. Therefore, each workshop will tackle the following questions: 1) What should be the key principles and/or elements of the post-2012 negotiations under each heading? 2) How can we, as representatives of key civil society groups, best organize an inclusive discussion process to build on this conference and make a positive contribution to the debate between now and 2009? The outputs will be a series of bullet points which will be included in the communiqué as Annexes.
